Ultrasound-guided percutaneous tenotomy
Ultrasound-guided percutaneous tenotomy is a minimally invasive technique to treat chronic tendon injuries —such as tennis elbow— that have not responded to other treatments. Guided by ultrasound, it acts on the damaged tissue to stimulate its recovery, without open surgery.
Book appointmentWhen is it indicated?
- Chronic tennis elbow (epicondylitis)
- Chronic tendon injuries that don't improve
- Tendinopathies resistant to conservative treatment
What does the procedure involve?
Under ultrasound control and local anaesthesia, I act on the damaged tendon tissue through a small puncture, with no surgical incision. It is an outpatient procedure.
